CASBOT Robots
CASBOT was founded in August 2023 in Zhongguancun, Beijing, by Zhang Zhengtao, a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Automation, and operates under the entity Beijing Zhongke Huiling Robot Technology. It develops full-size bipedal humanoids and embodied-intelligence platforms for industrial, mining, emergency response, commercial service and interactive settings. Its CASBOT 01, nicknamed "Wednesday", stands 1.79 m, weighs 60 kg, runs for about four hours on a charge and carries 550 TOPS of onboard compute. In September 2024 the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Lenovo to deploy CASBOT 01 for precision micro-assembly in Lenovo's smart manufacturing plant.
