Kinisi Robotics is a Bristol, UK company developing the KR1 wheeled semi-humanoid robot for picking, placing, assembly and order fulfilment, with an 8-hour runtime, 10 kg payload and automatic docking recharge. It was co-founded by Brennand Pierce, previously a co-founder and Chief Robotics Officer of Bear Robotics. Bear Robotics announced a definitive agreement to acquire Kinisi on 22 June 2026; on closing the Kinisi team and its Bristol engineering centre were folded into Bear Robotics, with Pierce returning to Bear as Chief Robotics Officer.
