Tangible Robots
Tangible Robots was founded in 2024 and is based in Palo Alto, California. CEO Bipasha Sen left an MIT PhD programme to build robots for the home, co-founding the company with Shankara N. Vaidyanathan, who leads core robotics and control systems, and Benjamin Soria, who heads mechanical and software engineering. Its humanoid, Eggie, is built around three engineering pillars — dexterity, compliance and whole-body control — and targets domestic chores such as laundry, dishes and making beds. The team built its early prototypes while incubated at Founders, Inc.
