Tencent Robotics X Robots

Shenzhen, GuangdongFounded 2018Website

Tencent established Robotics X Lab in 2018 in Shenzhen to apply the company's AI, cloud computing and data strengths to robotics. Its output includes the multimodal quadruped Max and earlier Jamoca, the wheel-legged robot Ollie — capable of 360-degree aerial somersaults and later given tactile sensing — and self-developed three- and five-fingered TRX-Hand dexterous hands and TRX-Arm manipulators. Its fifth-generation robot, The Five (also called Xiao Wu), is a hybrid that switches between walking upright on legs and rolling on wheels to suit different terrain.
