Paris, FranceFounded 2012Website

Wandercraft, founded in Paris in 2012, builds self-balancing autonomous walking exoskeletons that let wheelchair users walk without crutches, and has extended that platform into humanoid robotics. Its Calvin-40 industrial humanoid was developed in 40 days — hence the name — for strenuous factory work, with Renault Group acting as both strategic investor and first commercial customer. The company closed a €64.3 million Series D in June 2025 backed by Renault Group, Bpifrance, the European Investment Bank and others, bringing total funding to roughly $150 million.
