Free rankings do not verify availability, lead times or legal status, and several popular ones carry material errors. The brief exists to be defensible in front of your management, and the fee credits toward a purchase through RoboZaps.
In July 2026 the FCC added foreign-produced advanced robotic devices to its Covered List, which blocks new equipment authorizations for that category. Authorizations granted before the entry remain valid, fixed industrial arms sit outside the entry's scope, and US-made platforms are unaffected. Which of those paths applies to a specific model is exactly what the research verifies.
