Neo
General-purpose humanoid home robot
$20,000
NEO is a general-purpose humanoid robot from 1X Technologies designed to live in the home and automate everyday household chores. It uses tendon-driven actuators inspired by the human musculoskeletal system for quiet, smooth motion, and a soft polymer-and-textile body for safe human interaction. The robot learns tasks through 1X's Redwood AI system and can be teleoperated by human experts when it encounters tasks it cannot yet do autonomously.

Overview
NEO is a general-purpose humanoid robot developed by 1X Technologies, a robotics company founded as Halodi Robotics and now headquartered in Palo Alto, California with manufacturing in the United States and Norway. It is designed to operate in the home, helping with routine domestic chores such as tidying, fetching items, and other everyday tasks.
Unlike industrial humanoids built for factories, NEO is engineered for safe, close interaction with people. Its body uses a soft polymer lattice and a machine-washable textile suit over tendon-driven actuators modeled on the human musculoskeletal system, giving it quiet, compliant movement intended to be unobtrusive in a household setting.
NEO learns tasks through 1X's Redwood AI system and improves over time. When it encounters a task it cannot yet perform autonomously, a remote human expert can step in to teleoperate and guide it, with that experience feeding back into the robot's learning.
