Canonical robot record
Overview
FlashBot is Pudu Robotics' first-generation building delivery robot, built for autonomous, contactless delivery inside multi-floor environments such as hotels and office buildings. Rather than stopping at a building's entrance, it travels directly to a recipient's floor and room by integrating with building infrastructure, calling and riding elevators on its own.
The robot relies on a combination of RGB-D camera sensing and customized lidar SLAM to map its surroundings, navigate corridors, and avoid obstacles. Pudu positions it as a last-meter delivery solution that can hand off customer-ordered items and takeaways without human contact.
FlashBot is designed to operate as part of a coordinated fleet, with Pudu's scheduling system allowing multiple units to work together within the same building. It has since been succeeded by newer models in Pudu's building-delivery lineup.
RoboZaps maintains this record as part of its canonical robotics database. Specs are source-verified where linked; the record compares public facts across manufacturers rather than representing a single robot maker.
