Overview

Walker S2 is the third generation of UBTECH's industrial Walker line, unveiled in July 2025 and in mass production and delivery since November 2025. It is built for factory and logistics work: a full-size humanoid that walks with a human-like gait and uses an unusually flexible, high-torque waist to reach the ground and extend its working range on production lines.

Its headline capability is autonomous battery swapping. Rather than stopping to charge, the robot walks to a swap station, exchanges its own battery in about three minutes, and decides on its own — based on task priority — whether to swap or charge, which UBTECH positions as the enabler for round-the-clock shifts. Perception is handled by a pure RGB binocular stereo vision head modeled on human eyesight, with no lidar. Launch coverage also described fourth-generation dexterous hands engineered for high-cycle industrial durability.

Commercially, UBTECH reports pilots and deployments with automakers and electronics manufacturers including BYD, Zeekr, Geely, Foxconn and Audi FAW, and its FY2025 annual report states that 1,079 full-size humanoid robots were delivered in 2025. The company also holds a contract worth roughly ¥264 million (about US$37 million) to deploy humanoid robots at a China-Vietnam border crossing. UBTECH has not published the robot's weight, battery capacity, runtime, speed, or price, so those values are intentionally left blank.

UBTECH Humanoid Robot Walker S2 Begins Mass Production and Delivery

UBTECH said the first batch of several hundred Walker S2 units began mass production and delivery for frontline industrial applications. This supports paid deployment, while stopping short of attributing all company-wide Walker deliveries to S2.
